## Rasa X Compatibility

Rasa X version 0.33.0 or higher is only compatible with Rasa Open Source 2.x. If you are on Rasa Open Source 1.x, please check the [compatibility matrix](https://legacy-docs-rasa-x.rasa.com/docs/rasa-x/changelog/compatibility-matrix) for a compatible version.

## Current Version

To see which version of Rasa X you are currently running, hit the `/version` endpoint:

```bash
curl https://example.com/api/version
```

## Updating to a Newer Version

To update to a newer version, update the `tag` values for all Rasa X and Rasa Open Source services, then follow the [instructions for making changes to a deployment](https://legacy-docs-rasa-x.rasa.com/docs/rasa-x/installation-and-setup/configure/make-changes-to-deployment). If you're running the event service and database migration service separately from the rasa-x service, make sure to update the version for all three services.

### Example Configuration

```yaml
rasax:
  tag: "1.1.0"
eventService:
  tag: "1.1.0"
dbMigrationService:
  tag: "1.1.0"
rasa:
  tag: "<Rasa OS version>-full"
```

Check the [compatibility matrix](https://legacy-docs-rasa-x.rasa.com/docs/rasa-x/changelog/compatibility-matrix) and choose a Rasa Open Source version compatible with the Rasa X version you are upgrading to.
