Using internal ReAct sub-agents without MCP

I am testing out the sub-agents feature with my final year project on career counselling.
Is there a way to use the internal ReAct sub-agents with a custom tool, without configuring an MCP?
Initially I configured dummy values for the MCP in the sub-agents config.yml and endpoints.yml, but when I do rasa train, I get an error that rasa could not connect to that server. Pls help me out, it’s urgent. Thank you!
