I am currently having an external api call in an action and it has 4 possible answers 2 of them would most likely mean that the user would call another action. How do I create this conditional in the stories

It depends on the conversation flow and what you mean by “call another action” but you could put the results of the API call in a slot and use a form (with dynamic form behavior) or a featurized categorical slot to control the flow.
