Hi everyone, my name is Randy and I’m from Toronto, Canada . My company creates custom electronic designs, from concept to completion. Most of our work is in measurement and test systems, often microprocessor based, often including sensors and analog designs. Lately we have been working on a couple of projects in computer vision (my own formal education is in physics/optics), one of which is envisioned to have a chatbot to interface with the user. I have downloaded Rasa, developing on Windows now, but ultimate destination is Nvidia Jetson Nano. Always excited to learn something new, especially something with so much potential. Thanks Rasa!

Hello, my name is Giada and I am a PhD candidate in ethics applied to AI. I’m also principal research engineer for a Parisian chatbots company, and that explains why I am joining your community! It’s been a year I have been following Rasa’s research papers and pushing the company I work for to use an Open Source NLP. We are finally doing it, even though it’s going to take some time. Hello! I’m Paul Drabinski. I am a student in Georgia Tech’s OMSCS program and a Data Scientist at a Canadian telecom. I lead our NLP analyses, foremost of which is understanding why our customers reach out to us. I found Rasa recently while looking for an NLU library that could help me assign intents to web chat conversations. So far it’s been very helpful and I’m looking forward to finding ways to give back.

I’ve been learning about data science and creative AI for the last year. I want to create a virtual assistant for people with certain chronic health conditions including HSD (Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder). I have this myself, so I’m a bit of a domain expert!
I came across RASA at the European Chatbot Summit and instantly felt it was a good fit for what I’m trying to achieve, and that it will only get better (level 4 personalized assistants).

Hi there, I’m Joanna from Montreal, senior business/tech analyst at National Bank of Canada. I’m part of a team that integrates and manages Chatbots in our company. We use a platform built on top of the Rasa framework. I’m mainly involved in day-to-day management of our bots content, deployment of improved models, quality assurance, asset management/CMDB, requests (demands/bugs) management, processes improvement and requirements analysis.
I’m continuously looking for ways to improve the management of our chatbots performance and quality and while I have a non technical background, I love to develop my technical skills whenever I have the opportunity.

We’ve developed a module for the Asterisk VOIP platform and a server that allows communication with the Rasa chatbot in voice calls. Our server uses a Yandex speech kit (STT and TTS, grpc protocol). Also could use other STT and TTS services that support WebSocket or grpc protocol.
We are looking for possible cooperation in connecting Asterisk and Rasa. Using chatbots in voice calls.

Hello everybody,
I’m Theo, from the UK. I’ve been building chatbots since 2006 for banks, telcos, energy companies, car manufacturers, education, retail, etc. I love mountains, hikes, Python, Rasa, Spacy, Kubernetes and making lists…
I mostly care about:
- abstracting data and build process so it’s easier for content/flow editors.
- removing technical barriers from the build process so design and experience are the focus.
- being honest, pragmatic and realistic with clients about what chatbots can do.
- the “magic” when a chatbot projects starts coming together and everything works and I can sleep at night.
I love Rasa because:
- it uses Python (did I say I love Python?)
- it’s flexible (I can make my own custom policies, components, importers, etc). I have way more control than I would do with some other platforms. I honestly don’t know how I would realistically implement what clients want without this sort of flexibility.
- it’s opensource yay!
Our setup:
- Rasa Core with custom dialogue manager policy, custom tracker, and a fair few custom components
- Kubernetes for dev/prod environments
- Cloud Build/Cloud Functions for training and automated deployment
- Firestore for storing trackers and chat usage data
- Cloud Functions for weekly/monthly reporting
- Cloud Storage and Google Drive for managing files, models, etc

We build service robots for human robot interaction: museums, shops, robo-vendings, document assistants. I develop dialogue systems for different robot roles using ML tools. I was a systems analyst at NASA during the Apollo lunar missions, and later became a statistician doing clinical research at Emory University. Recently, I have been a data scientist using machine learning/deep learning models (especially NLP models), both as a head of data science for Price.com and now Alt Investing 2.0. Because I want to develop a conversational chatbot for Alts Investing, I looked at several options and at this point, want to use Rasa for that development.

I’m Vinay, a software engineer from Kerala, India. I am currently working on a Rasa chatbot that handles FAQ and business logic for the users of a CRM product we are currently building at our startup.
I am interested in open source software and have been using Rasa for the past 4 months. Before that I used to an automobile engineer, got interested in ML. I made a career switch and started as a full-time software engineer after dwelling into ML applications for a couple years.

Hi there, since it’s always interesting to know more about the people who uses a tool I will be sharing a little bit about myself.
I’m curretly working and studying as a software developer by Edubookers.com and Archipel Academy. My study project is about creating a proof of concept of a personal learning assistence that will improve the learning experience within our LMS platforms.
Rasa has been a joy to work with so far. It’s incredibly designed. It’s not easy to learn about all the concepts on a detailed level in a short period of time, but after many iterations I’ve been able to find my way in it.
Thank you for your work on this and also making it open source. The barrier is low to get started with it. As a company we will probably consider using the Pro version and perhaps X to gain insight in the converations.

I was having a chat with Grog and had this fantasy of creating a chatbot to converse and/or help users on my Linux community. We laid out like 5 points with the last being the framework. I have aways dreamed about having a AI companion that can help me in my life’s journey. To me AI should be made to help uplift society as a whole & should be free for the benefit of man kind. My dreams of AI is eradicating poverty, bringing a end of suffering by spreading knowledge and empowerment for no matter racial, religious or Economic Classifications. My hope would be to have AI to open many doors by being able to help educate users on every topic from legal knowledge by databasing all legal knowledge for America and making legal activities accessible by everyone. I have very high hopes for AI in every field from health to your wildest imagination by having a AI that can train its self constantly building out it’s knowledge base. My ultimate dream is being part of a push in the USA for something new with advents of technology I hope we can leave the old ism’s like communism in the past to create a more perfect union by upgrading our representative Republic to a truer Democracy where all people count with no bias. A democracy where we are all are equal and the interest of a nation is that in its people.
I am sadly financially poor but I am hopeful for the future I am currently trying to get back into school to learn the it profession I don’t have many resources but I am willing to learn everyday. I don’t have the money to buy the Rasa X but I am hopeful that good people will win out, I am a individual with limited resources so I am on the hunt for trying to work with the crumbs we are left with in the open source communitys. I am hoping that it’s possible for me to try to reach for higher things even though I am coming from a disadvantaged position. I am 38 years of age and I have been living thinking I can never amount to anything I am reaching for the stars but it always seems there is something that stops me especially financially speaking everything seems to be behind a pay wall. I hear all the time people coming from nothing but those people I doubt have came from people similar to me where even getting 20$ can be a issue. I have 3 kids & I am also raising my nephew who lost both his mom and dad. I need to try to get my dream moving as I am only getting older coming from nothing. I have set the mind set to try and reach for my dreams it’s now or never.
What I create I want to be free, I want to create a foundational AI called cipher that will hopefully lead to further branches building AI’s from Cipher that will specialize in subjects I would then call One. Such as One Science, One legal, One Health ect. I need my AI to be able to help me by crawling the web for knowledge in specific knowledge & the ability to be able digest knowledge from books & other sources I can acquire for it. My AI needs the ability to learn from these sources of knowledge that it aquires. My base being Cipher (0) so it would be primarily learning about furthering it’s development my hope would be for it to aquire basic knowledge to add to its fundamentals that being to refine it’s self and to help even to help make it easier to code in to hopefully being able to program it’s self through simple text commications with Cipher AI hopefully built on the foundations from Rasa.
OK, with my dream I could go on forever I have it very thought out but I am starting from really realistic humble beginnings & I really need help to start making my dream real and sharable. So I am currently new to AI & coding but I have a good basic for computer knowledge. I made my first computer as a kid with acquired parts from a hand radio store. I basically grew up on the net & I even made a few websites using Dreamweaver php & mysql. I know windows pretty good but I just got back into the pc and windows 11 is still fresh to me. There is nothing I can’t accomplish if I set my goals right I just need good friends to help incurage my new found goals. I need a good community of friends that are able and willing to import knowledge that they have gained from school and or elsewhere that I am starting from scratch and just learning the ropes but I have high ambitions.
So in light of all this information please help me understand if my dream is a feasible one. Feel free to share your thoughts and impart any information I may need. Am I doing the right thing starting with Rasa? I can’t afford Rasa X sadly I am not doing this with corporate interests but rather a learning experience with the hope of being able to further the community in the future.
